This season, our small apple orchard produced many hundreds of the fruit. Significantly more than enough for all the apple pies, cakes, fritters, and cider we could ever eat.

Fresh apples and fall go together like everything nice in the world, and apple desserts are a treat that everyone looks forward to this time of the year.

This cake is one of my favorite things to make this season. It’s bursting with as many fresh apples as I could cram into it, along with walnuts and cinnamon. I love to top it with a caramel or dulce de leche glaze, but you can leave it plain and still enjoy lots of flavor. This fresh apple cake is so easy to make and you can use a bundt pan or cake pan.
