A homemade electrolyte drink that provides you and your family natural hydration, especially during colds, flu, food poisoning, breastfeeding, sports, and other physical exertion.
Add all ingredients into a pitcher or empty bottle.
Shake, stir, or gently flip the (closed) bottle around until everything mixes together.
OPTIONALYou can add slices of lemon or other citrus fruit, sliced strawberries, or cucumber and mint to kick the taste up a notch if you wish.
If you don't have raw honey available, use maple syrup instead. Dark maple syrup is especially full of minerals.
Notes
Raw honey is not safe for babies younger than 1. Their best source of electrolytes will be your breastmilk. Please consult a pediatrician or other qualified health expert.You can substitute plain water with coconut water in an amount you like to taste.You can also substitute plain water with sparkling mineral water, just gently stir in the other ingredients.
